Vocabulary choice

This activity shows our students several vocabulary items and one or more pictures. Only some of the words they see are appropriate to describe the pictures. Of course, negative sentences are not allowed.

This is especially useful when we are dealing with words that are often confused because they belong to the same semantic field but have not been completely acquired.

With these slideshows we can:

  • Revise or expand vocabulary.
  • Work on accuracy.
  • Combine grammar and vocabulary.
  • Challenge and motivate students.
  • Use different groupings.
